Hey everybody!

OMG it is already the middle on June!! I cannot believe that time goes by so quickly. In fact, it's only 5 more weeks until I leave Germany and move to the United States of America. I am really excited and nervous but at the same time I cannot wait. This is going to be fantastic.

Now it is time to tell you guys what exactly I will do in the USA! I will support the elderlies.
You might ask yourself now 'What? The elderlies? Noo way, a voluntary service year always helps children in developing countries, i know for sure!!' Well, for those of you I want to say: You are not quite right. I mean, this is tha mainstream! But it is true that even developed countries like the USA need help. What I will do the next 12 months is helping the elderlies to manage their lives. Most of them are all alone with not enough money and noone who takes care of them. This ist not fair. I will help that this kind of unfairness will be reduced a little bit and you guys will be up to date if you want because I will post fotos and videos and everything you want. Maybe some of you will do such things themselves one day?

So the last 5 weeks i will spend fundraising and packing!
I will miss Germany a lot....

Hi guys,
whats up with you all?

this is becoming my very first post in my new BLOG and I am am really excited about it.
So for a first introduction: My name ist Paula and I live in Germany. I will graduate from High School this summer and after that I want to go abroad for a while. My plan was to do a voluntary service in the USA which I am now able to do - Thank you, World Horizon!!
I participated in a selection weekend and passed all the requirements. So now it is safe, this summer I will pack my suitcase and travel to the wonderful state MICHIGAN, USA!!

For this opportunity I thank the organization World Horizon a lot. World Horizon was founded in 2002 and since then enhances local development projects. It supports countries like South Africa, Ecuador, Columbia, USA and Indunasia.

In this blog everyone can follow my social year in Michigan, Hancock and hopefully support me.
